Clam shells galore can be found along the beaches of the Atlantic. Since I currently live in Texas, however,I have been deprived of finding these little gems on my trips to the Gulf of Mexico. This particular shell was “smuggled” out of a restaurant in Stuart, Florida where I dined with my father during a recent summer visit and, of course, ordered clams on the half shell. Ah, memories! (Painted on gallery wrapped canvas and wired to hang.)
